Have you ever thought about using technology to support learners´ writing skills? I guess writing on the computers, tablets or mobile screens is nothing exceptional but have you tried tracking your students´ progress using IT or automated programs to provide feedback for them on their written materials? Educational Grants: The Experience of the Past — a Step into the Future

 

This was the title of Republican scientific-practical conference, which included the awarding ceremony of the Pedagogical Grants Program 2012 held in February 22 in the hotel «International Hotel Tashkent». The conference was organized by the Fund Forum, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The conference attracted over 300 participants — teachers and principals of public schools, colleges and universities, jury members and many others. The conference was held in a video format and linked all regions of Uzbekistan. The winners of the previous years grants reported on their results, the winners of 2012 presented their projects and spoke about the positive changes their projects can make in the field of education in Uzbekistan. Changes may soon touch the program itself, with suggestions for improvement which were made by Gulnara Karimova, summing up the conference. At the end of the conference author of the project awarded 48 winners with certificates and valuable prizes. Прочитать больше

Competition!!!

The Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the British Council Uzbekistan announce a competition for the most active participant trainee of the “Digital and e-learning Project”.

The aim of the competition- to promote the “Digital and e-learning Project”, to interest teachers in innovative technologies, to design materials improving written and oral speech of  learners and introduce new, innovative ways of teaching and materials into the teaching process.

 

In order to take part in the competition the applicants must do the following:

  • Get registered in the id.uz identification system
  • Post information on the blog “ICT for English teachers” of the fikr.uz web-site
  • Organise seminar-trainings for the students of the INSETTIs, to post about the training sessions on  www.ictenglish.zn.uz and illustrate the posts with  photos, videos and quotes from trainees
  • Send reports about their training progress to ministry monitoring group (Rano, Kadambay and Abdurashid Hundibaev)
  • Open/create their blogs on fikr.uz and www.ictenglish.zn.uz and upload there  activities designed by trainers or their trainees related to teaching
